Here are the top stories today in Avon-Avon Lake:

1. Four new security cameras will be installed this fall around Avon Lake. According to cleveland.com, "City Council voted 9-0 Sept. 26 to enter into a contract with Simvay Systems LLC of Westlake for the purchase of four more security cameras to add security cameras in public spaces [including] the basketball courts off Electric Boulevard, behind and to the west of City Hall; City Hall itself; the Public Works Service Garage by the railroad tracks; and in Walker Road Park on the east end of town, where Avon Lake borders Bay Village." 2. It's official a new Mexican restaurant is taking up residency in the former Burger King space in Avon Lake. According to cleveland.com, "Las Margaritas is scheduled to open in December." (cleveland.com)
