Beachwood Police Blotter: Shoplifting, Fake License Plate Stickers and Disorderly Conduct

BEACHWOOD, OH — A man attempted to purchase eyeglasses using a fraudulently obtained credit card. The employees, all trained to see things discerningly, spotted the deception. Read on for more information on that incident and others from the past week.
Trespassing, Theft, June 21 - While on patrol, an officer observed a man trespassing and stealing tires from National Tire and Battery. The man was also driving with a suspended driver license and had an active warrant with the Beachwood Police. The man was arrested.
Disorderly Conduct, Narcotics, June 21 - A male was found to be under the influence of narcotics at Beachwood Place Mall, 26300 Cedar Road. He was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.

DOA and Body Found, June 21 - Officer responded with Beachwood Fire Department Rescue Squad to Beachwood Pointe Care Center to an unresponsive male. The male was reported dead on scene and a report was taken. There were no signs of foul play.
Theft , June 20 - A resident reported that a bicycle was taken from her open garage during the afternoon of June 20, 2017.

Shoplifting, June 20 - Officers responded to Saks 5th Avenue, 26100 Cedar Road, for a report of a theft. An adult female was arrested for theft and receiving stolen property.
Shoplifting, June 20 - An adult male was arrested for theft and criminal trespass at Dillard's.
Drug Paraphernalia, June 20 - A female was arrested at Giant Eagle for drug paraphernalia.
Shoplifting, June 19 - A juvenile was arrested from Dillards, 26500 Cedar Road, for shoplifting $29.70 worth of merchandise.
Theft, June 19 - An adult female was arrested for theft at Petco, 24001 Chagrin Blvd. total value stolen $1,667.58.
Shoplifting, June 18 - Officers responded to Dillards for the report of a theft. An adult male was aressted for stealing a $25.00 hat.
Disorderly Conduct, June 17 - Officers responded to the mall parking lot for the report a male threatening mall security and refusing to leave the property. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Driving Under Suspension and Fictitious Plates, June 17 - A motorist from North Carolina was stopped for fictitious plates and also had a suspended North Carolina drivers license. The motorist had made his own expiration sticker for his plates.
Warrant Served, June 17 - Officers responded to I-90 and Bishop Rd. to pick up a female on an active warrant. She had been arrested by Bratenahl P.D.
