• Canfield man indicted on 10 counts of pandering obscenities (vindy.com) — Several Mahoning County residents, including individuals listed with Boardman addresses, were recently indicted on serious charges ranging from aggravated burglary and felonious assault to drug offenses. The indictments stem from broader law enforcement efforts, including a statewide human trafficking operation that led to more than 100 arrests. Local readers may recognize neighborhood streets and should be aware of ongoing criminal cases in the area.
   

• Linda S. (Semko) Cannistra, Warren, Ohio (wkbn.com) — Boardman readers may remember Linda S. Cannistra from her more than three decades of service at the Holiday Inn in Boardman, where she worked before retiring. The Warren native, remembered for her kindness and generosity, passed away Friday at age 73 and is survived by her husband, son, and sister. Services are being handled by Blackstone Funeral Home.
