Here are the top three stories in Cincinnati today:
- The Cincinnati metro has once again been named as one of the top arts-vibrant large cities in the country. A national report that rated the investment in and devotion to the arts across the United States, studying over 900 towns and cities. Cincinnati is one of only four midwest cities on the list. The Cincinnati metro area came in at number 12. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
- A Conservator at Cincinnati Art Museum has discovered a hidden work of art. Serena Urry was studying the piece Still Life with Bread and Eggs by French painter Paul Cézanne when she noticed something odd. A digital X-ray examination revealed that there was one of the master artist's earliest portraits just beneath the surface. The painting will undergo further research to determine the time period it was painted and to identity the subject. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
- A Sunday morning shooting in Westwood has left two people in the hospital. Officers were called to Cora Avenue around 10:50 a.m. where they found two women suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Police have not stated if they have a suspect in the case. The investigation is ongoing. (FOX19)
