Heights United Soccer Academy Offering Soccer Camp And New Day Camp
The camps are for ages 6 to 12 and will be held from June 5 to Aug. 5 at the Cleveland Heights Community Center.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH —The city of Cleveland Heights has announced a new partnership with Heights United Soccer Academy that will increase the day camp options for local children this summer.
In addition to offering its traditional Heights United Soccer Camp, the soccer club now is running a new Heights United Day Camp. Both are for ages 6 to 12 and will take place at Cleveland Heights Community Center, 1 Monticello Blvd.
The Day Camp will include swimming at Cumberland Park, ice skating in the Community Center, access to local parks and playgrounds and indoor activities at the Community Center. The camp also will have themes like: sports week, STEM week, game show week, creativity week, Olympic week, adventure week and carnival week.

The Soccer Camp, meanwhile, will follow the same schedule as it has in the past: training in the morning and tournaments in the afternoon. Organizers said soccer campers also will have a chance to participate in Day Camp activities.
Both camps are run by Sean Sullivan, the founder of Heights United Academy who served as the boys soccer head coach at Heights High School from 2000 to 2014. In 2018, Sullivan was inducted into the Heights High Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame.

The camps last for nine weeks, from June 6- 10 to Aug. 1-5, though the camp will be closed on June 20 and July 4, which are city holidays.
The cost of the camp is $1,550 for the full nine weeks. Each weekly five-day session costs $180, while the two four-day sessions cost $144. Before care and aftercare also is available.
Organizers said the camps only can accommodate 60 campers per week and that some weeks may sell out, so they recommend signing up as soon as possible.
Registration is available online through Eventbrite. Payment can be made online, which will include processing fees, or those signing up can use the discount code SUMMER22 and pay by check on the first day their child attends camp.
