No Indoor Swimming Program In Cleveland Heights Due To COVID-19
The spread of the delta variant will keep Heights High's indoor pool closed to the public this fall.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Once again, there will be no indoor pool program at Heights High School this fall.
Cumberland Pool closed for the season on Monday. However, due to the renewed COVID-19 surge in Ohio, officials decided not to open the Heights High pool to the public this fall.
A decision on whether the indoor pool program will restart in the winter or spring will be made at a later date and will be based on pandemic conditions.

"As always, the safety of students and residents is of utmost concern," city officials said.
COVID-19 hospitalizations are up across the state, according to data from the Ohio Hospital Association. One in seven hospitalized Ohioans is battling COVID-19, while one in four intensive care patients are fighting the virus.

COVID-19 hospitalizations are up 18 percent statewide over the past week and are up 1,367 percent over the past two months, according to association data.
