Redesign Of Noble Library To Be Discussed In September

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The redesign of the Noble library branch will be discussed during a community meeting on Sept. 8.

The public is invited to attend the session, which will be held at the library from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The architectural firm responsible for the the redesign — Bostwick Design Partnership — will exhibit preliminary design concepts for the future of the library.

The designs were influenced by public input collected via Zoom meetings in March and April and via emails and phone calls received from the community, library system officials said.

"We will be taking your comments about what you like or don't like about these preliminary designs, and will also give you an opportunity to talk with our architect [during the meeting]," the Heights Libraries said in a statement.

In March 2021, the Heights Libraries purchased the Noble Road Presbyterian Church property to expand the Noble Library branch.

In January and February, the Heights Libraries conducted a community survey on what changes residents wanted at the Noble branch. Nearly 500 responses were collected and 72 percent of respondents said the building needed more room.
