See the latest announcement from Dayton Public Schools.
October 29, 2021
DPS teacher Julie Anderson invited board member Gabriela Pickett to teach students how to create altars for Dia De Muertos, a traditional Latin American holiday honoring loved ones who have passed away. What started as an art project became personal for many of the students. The classes combined their altars to make a communal altar that has been on display at Stivers School for the Arts since October 22nd.
