• Unsilent Night in downtown Kent rescheduled after being postponed (record-courier.com) — A beloved soundscape tradition is back on the calendar in downtown Kent, with Phil Kline’s Unsilent Night now set for the evening of Dec. 28 at Hometown Bank Plaza. Residents can gather early for free hot cocoa, then join a glowing, music-filled promenade through downtown using the Unsilent Night app or their own speakers, or simply enjoy the performance from the plaza.
   

• Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School to relocate to Ohio college campus (cleveland.com) — Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School will move its K-6 students into Kent State’s Michael Schwartz Center on the Kent Campus by fall 2027, consolidating two Portage County sites. The deal repurposes an underused building, shifts several Kent State administrative offices elsewhere on campus, and trims university maintenance costs while bringing hundreds of students and staff into the city.
   

• Man admits to sending numerous threatening emails to Kent State (record-courier.com) — Kent residents should know that a Washington, D.C. man has pleaded guilty to making terroristic threats and inducing panic after sending violent emails to Kent State University staff last summer. He faces up to six years in prison, with sentencing pending a presentence investigation in Portage County Common Pleas Court.
