South Willow to Close Starting Monday

South Willow Street will close for two weeks starting Monday for construction work related to Kent State University's Esplanade project.

The street will be closed between East College Avenue and East Main Street for underground utility work related to the Esplanade extension, which will connect the campus to downtown Kent when finished in the spring.

The closure is expected to last from Oct. 29 to Nov. 9.

A detour will direct drivers to use South Lincoln to Summit and South Water streets to Haymaker Parkway.
