• Fairfield County Foundation grants $65,000 to local food pantries (perrytribune.com) — Lancaster’s Fairfield County Foundation has awarded $65,000 to 14 local food pantries to help neighbors ahead of the holiday season. The money comes from the Zimpfer Memorial Fund and the annual 250 Plates Community Meal, which has already generated over $132,000 for area food pantries, Keller Market House, and Destination Downtown Lancaster since 2019.

• Former food bank director indicted on fraud charges in Pickerington (abc6onyourside.com) — Lancaster-based officials have announced felony fraud charges against the former executive director of the Pickerington Food Pantry, following an investigation into altered grant audit documents. The case, handled by the Ohio Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Section at Fairfield County’s request, also involves a defendant who serves on the Pickerington School Board and as Violet Township’s fiscal officer, underscoring its regional impact for Lancaster-area residents.
