Blast Of Snow Inbound: 3 To 6 Inches Likely In Lake County
Lake effect snow could make afternoon commutes slipperier than usual.
MENTOR, OH — Lake effect conditions will bring 3 to 6 inches of snow to Lake County on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow is possible between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday, the forecast said. Snow is possible in both Lake, Erie and Ashtabula counties and while most areas could get between 3 and 6 inches, more snow could fall in some areas.
"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute," the National Weather Service said.

In addition to likely lake effect snow, temperatures will plummet Tuesday night. A high of 22 degrees is expected during the day, but temperatures will drop to approximately 10 degrees overnight — the beginning of an extended bout of cold.
Wednesday's high is projected to be 17 degrees, while the low should be 3 degrees. With wind chill, conditions will feel subzero. That also means whatever snow melts on Tuesday could become ice on Wednesday.
