The unemployment rate for the City of Mentor decreased 0.2% to 2.6% for the month of November 2021. One year ago, the unemployment rate was 5.3%. In Lake County, the unemployment rate decreased 0.1% as well to 2.9% for the month of November; one year ago, it was 5.8%.

Among cities in Ohio with a population of 50,000 or more, the City of Mentor’s 2.6% unemployment rate is the lowest and Lakewood has the second lowest rate at 2.9%. Kettering is third with 3.0%, followed by Cuyahoga Falls with 3.1%. The City’s civilian labor force increased to 25,800.

The State of Ohio’s unemployment rate decreased 0.3% to 3.5% for the month of November 2021.
