Construction Closing Lanes On Center Street

Construction has started beneath the State Route 2 bridge on Center Street.

During this construction, traffic will be reduced from three lanes to two lanes in both directions.

Traffic back-ups are expected to be particularly pronounced during the morning and evening rush hour.

When the project is finished, Center Street will be resurfaced and there will be an additional left turn lane in each direction for traffic entering the eastbound and westbound lanes of State Route 2.

The project is expected to be finished by mid-September.
