EF-1 Tornado Hit Wickliffe: National Weather Service
The short-lived tornado touched down in Lake County on Thursday.
WICKLIFFE, OH — A short-lived EF-1 tornado touched down in Wickliffe on Thursday.
Tornadoes formed throughout several parts of northern Ohio last week, hitting Wickliffe, Jackson Township, Hinckley, Hudson, Mecca and Johnston Township. Other parts of the region suffered cutting rain and driving winds.
In Wickliffe, the tornado's peak wind speed was approximately 97 mph, according to the National Weather Service. No one was hurt or killed during the storm, the agency said.

"The tornado touched down on Briar Court, significantly damaging one home with minor damage to roofs and siding on adjacent homes. The tornado continued east onto Fairway Drive, where several hardwood trees were snapped. The tornado then continued into Pine Ridge Country Club where additional trees where damaged before dissipating," the National Weather Service said.

The tornado formed at approximately 4:49 p.m. and was gone by 4:50 p.m., the agency said.
