House Fires Leave 2 Families Without Homes In Mentor

Both homes were badly damaged on early Wednesday, just a day before Thanksgiving.

MENTOR, OH — Two homes were badly damaged by fires overnight in Mentor.

The fire broke out on Forest Road, starting in one house and spread to a second. A third house was also damaged by the flames but was not as severely damaged, according to Fox 8.

Firefighters tried to control the blaze for more than an hour. The second floor collapsed in the house where the fire started.

Both of the first two homes caught in the fire were described as a "total loss," by Fox 8.
