Lake Catholic returns to regional championship two years after winning it all

The Lake Catholic volleyball team is no stranger to success.
They were the regional runner up last year and, the year before that, they were the Div. II state champions.
The Cougars hope to have to a repeat performance of 2010 and they are certainly on pace this postseason.

They bested rival Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin 25-19, 25-22, 26-24 Thursday night to clinch their district championship.
Both Kara Oster and Abby Detering notched eight kills for the Cougars.

"It's competitive every year we play NDCL in the district final," Oster told The News-Herald after the game.
Lake Catholic's next game will be the regional semifinal against Beaumont at 6 p.m. this Wednesday at Stow-Munroe Falls High School.
