Mail Delivery Issues In Mentor: USPS Aware, Working On It
The US Postal Service is aware of mail delivery issues in Mentor and is taking steps to address the problems.

MENTOR, OH — The US Postal Service is aware of delivery issues in Mentor and is "taking steps to address this concern," a spokesperson said.
"Our workforce, like others, is not immune to the human impacts of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. We will continue flexing our available resources to match the workload and we are proud of the efforts of postal employees as they define essential public service every day," a USPS spokesperson told Patch.
Winter weather has also impacted mail delivery across northern Ohio. Major winter storms in early February and late January left driveways and sidewalks covered in snow and ice. In some cases, snow was plowed against mailboxes, making them difficult to access, the spokesperson noted.

If any mail was delayed due to weather, employees will attempt to deliver it the following day.
"Customers can also help us rebound from this winter storm. Customers receiving door delivery should make sure their sidewalks, steps and porches are clear. Customers receiving curbside delivery should remove snow piles left by snowplows to keep access to their mailboxes clear for letter carriers," the spokesperson added.
