Man Accused Of Brandishing Knife At Neighbor

Police say argument started over a computer

A Mentor man is accused of threatening his neighbor with a knife.

David Nerone, 53, was arrested Wednesday and charged with a count of felonious assault.

The charge stems from an argument over a computer that he was having with a neighbor of his at Mentor Park Apartments, Mentor Sgt. Dustin Richards said.

"The computer didn't belong to either of them but somehow they got involved in it," Richards said.

According to the victim, Nerone brandished a knife and cut his pinky finger, Richards said.

However, Nerone said he only pulled a knife and didn't use it.

The cut on the victim's finger was superficial and didn't require medical attention, Richards said.

Nerone was arraigned Thursday in .

Judge John Trebets set his bond at $50,000, which was not posted. Nerone's next court appearance is scheduled for March 22.
