For those who don't know, Hunger Games tells the story of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, two teens who are forced to compete in gladitorial combat for the entertainment of others.

But, instead of going along with it, Katniss and Peeta fight back against the unfair rulers who would manipulate them.

"It's great when a book catches on like this one has," said Amanda Densmore, who in addition to being a Mentor librarian is also a big fan of the Hunger Games series.

"It does what any other great book does," Densmore said of Hunger Games. "It puts you in a world that you wouldn't visit, otherwise. It's great fantasy fiction. It has adventure, romance, a strong protagonist."

At the library's party, fans can play trivia for a chance to win Hunger Games posters and movie tickets that were donated by , as well as other prizes.

They can also decorate cupcakes like Peeta, who comes from a family of bakers, and make their own Mockingjay pins. (In the books, Mockingjay pins are a symbol that someone is part of Katniss' rebellion.)

The party is free, though the library asks that people who intend to come register beforehand. The can do so online or by calling 440-255-8811 ext. 215.
