Mentor Police Find, Arrest Escaped Suspect (Updated)

Police received a tip that Olivia Weber was at a doctor's office in Painesville

Mentor Police arrested a suspect who had previously escaped .

Police received a tip that Olivia Weber, 34, was at a doctor's office in Painesville Monday morning, Mentor Police Lt. Tom Powers said. She was receiving treatment for a foot injury.

Police came to the doctor's office and arrested Weber.

Weber, who lives in Painesville, cooperated with police this time and did not try to escape.

"She actually made a comment that she was tired of running," Power said.

She was arraigned today in on a felony charge of escape.

She made no plead and Judge John Trebets set her bond at $110,000, which was not posted.

Her next court hearing is scheduled for May 14.

Weber while she was being checked out the evening of April 26 at LakeWest in Willoughby.

She was wanted on a warrant from Mentor Police for violating her probation on a previous misdemeanor drug conviction, police said.

She was brought to Mentor City Jail where she demonstrated some symptoms of a seizure. However, police are suspicious that these symptoms might have been feigned.

Police took Weber to the hospital. While ther, Weber was left unattended for a minute while she was being checked out by hospital staff in the lobby, Mentor Police Capt. Ken Gunsch.

During that time, Weber fled from the hospital and was on the lam for about 10 days.

, Gunsch did not specify what the police officer was doing while Weber was unattended. However, he did say that the incident will be reviewed and the police department's administration will censure the officer if it's deemed appropriate.

Powers said the incident was still under review.
