Mentor Police Looking For Burglary Suspect

Mentor Police are looking for a suspect in a burglary that happened Friday.

Austin Marrie, 20, was spotted in the area of Essex and State Route 306, according to the Mentor Police Department's Facebook page.

Police chased him but he escaped, despite police using a K-9 officer to try to track him.

Marrie took off and discarded his clothes while fleeing, according to police.

Marrie already had a warrant issued for his arrest from for failing to appear in court. He was convicted of petty theft and attempted forgery last year, according to court records.

Marrie is about six feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. If anybody sees him or know where he is, they are encouraged to call Mentor Police Department at 440-974-5760.
