A white man wearing dark clothes and a black knit hat came into BP AM/PM store on Auburn Road.

The suspect shopped as if he was a regular patron and waited until the store was clear of all other patrons. The suspect then confronted the clerk and demanded all the money from the cash register and a pack of cigarettes, according to LCSO Lt. Michael Reed.

The suspect told the cler that he had a gun. However, he never brandished any weapons.

The suspect made off on foot from the business with an undisclosed amount of cash and one pack of Marlboro Menthol cigarettes. A witness reported the suspect running south from the business.

Authorities think the suspect got into a vehicle in the truck parking lot near McDonalds and then drove south on Auburn Road.

Witnesses described the BP robber as being about 6 feet tall with a very thin build, possibly in his mid 30’s, wearing glasses and having a thin dark mustache.
