Mentor Police Share Photos Of Man Who Tried To Rob Convenient Food Mart

Mentor Police have shared security camera photos of the man accused of trying to rob the Convenient Food Mart on Corduroy Road Sunday evening.

At about 10 p.m., a man who wore gloves and a black ski mask entered the store and demanded money from the register.

When the person working the register refused, the would-be robber ran out the doors and headed north through the parking lot, police said.

The victim said the robber was in his 20s and described him as being about six feet tall and weighing 180 pounds.

No weapon was seen and the man never threatened to use one, police said.
