Award-winning author and pop-culture historian Martin Gitlin will discuss some of the greatest cartoon characters in history during a program at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, at our Main Branch. Gitlin, the author of A Celebration of Animation: The 100 Greatest Cartoon Characters in Television History, will discuss the criteria he used to rank the best of the best and speak about their impact on American pop culture.

He’ll also share funny cartoon snippets and play trivia with patrons. The talk is free to attend and open to all ages. Registration is required. RSVP on our website or by calling us at (440) 255-8811 ext. 247.
