Mentrek will share tips on observing the moon using telescopes, binoculars, or even just your eyes. He’ll also explain the phases and cycles of the moon and how different cultures have marked them. Finally, he’ll offer a preview of the upcoming lunar eclipse in November.

Mentrek’s talk will be hosted live via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21. The program is free to enjoy, and registration is required to get the Zoom link. Sign up on our website or by calling us at (440) 255-8811 ext. 247.

By the way, Mentrek visited us earlier this year to discuss star maps and apps that can help amateur skygazers identify constellations, planets, comets, and even satellites overhead. You can watch that program on our YouTube channel.
