Mentor Public Library Now Offering Free eAudiobooks

Library patrons can download audiobooks directly onto their computers, mp3 players and other mobile devices

patrons have been able to download ebooks to their computers, mp3 players and eReaders for more than a year .

Now patrons can use it to download and listen to electronic audiobooks, as well.

Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting www.mentorpl.org. Users will need to install free software OverDrive Media Console found on the library Web site.

Additionally, there are no late fees with the library's eBooks and eAudiobooks because they are automatically removed from your device after the allotted time expires.

Some audio titles can even be burned to CD.

"Downloading books has been a big hit for our patrons and we’re excited to now offer audiobooks for download," said Librarian Amanda Densmore, adding that Mentor strives to offer services that fit the needs of our patrons.

"Our new audiobook downloads is one more option for patrons to get their favorite book," she said.

Densmore said the library will offer additional audiobook copies of the series, and other popular titles patrons are unable to find available on the shelf or put on a waiting list.

β€œOur patrons love to be able to download books to their devices and now they can download audio and listen while they’re on the go,” she said.
