Ohio Man Accused Of Breaking Into Lake County House, Kidnapping
A 34-year-old man is accused of breaking into a Lake County home and kidnapping a woman, the Lake County Sheriff's office announced.
MENTOR, OH — A 34-year-old man is now accused of breaking into a Lake County home, dragging a woman out of the house and kidnapping her.
William E. Sutton, Jr., 34, was arraigned in Painesville Municipal Court on Wednesday. He faces charges of kidnapping and aggravated burglary, both first-degree felonies. He is being held in the Lake County Jail with no bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 8 a.m.
On Tuesday, reports of a possible kidnapping sent sheriffs into woods near the woman's Lake County home. Deputies also searched Sutton's home in Ashtabula County before finding both Sutton and the woman, the Lake County sheriffs said in a statement.

After deputies found Sutton, he tried to run but was caught by the sheriffs, the statement said. The woman was not hurt, Lake County Sheriffs said.

"We wish to thank the Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio Highway Patrol, Geneva Police Department, and the Saybrook Township Fire Department for their assistance in this matter," the Lake County Sheriff's office said.
