Paula Deen To Appear in Levin Furniture In Mentor

Deen will be promoting her home furniture collection

Celebrity Chef Paula Deen is going to bring her southern sweetness -- though, sadly, none of her chicken pot pie -- to the Levin Furniture in Mentor on Oct. 19 and 20.

She will be promoting her home furniture collection during her visit.

That's right. In addition to being a maestro of southern cuisine, she also has a furniture collection that is based on her life in the south.

First, at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Levin Furniture, Deen will present a $10,000 check to the Cleveland Furniture Bank, which helps provide basic home furnishings for those who need it.

Then, from 10 a.m. to noon the next day, the public can meet Deen at the store. They will also be able to check out dining room, living room and bedroom sets from her furniture collection.

Deen said her furniture -- much like her cooking -- is meant to evoke the warmness of the south, specifically her home in Savannah, GA.

"Just like my food, I send comfort and love from my home to yours," she said of her furniture collection in a news statement.

Deen is the chef of The Lady & Sons Restaurant in Georgia, an Emmy-award winning television personality and has published five cookbooks.
