Photo Gallery: Mentor High's Winter Sports Awards

celebrated its winter sports athletes during its seasonal award ceremony Monday night and they had a lot to celebrate.

They recognized:

• senior as well as her team who were the state runners-up.

• the girls basketball team,
• state qualifiers from the and
• bowling coach Mike Phillips and gymnastics coach Joe Corrigan, who both won NEO coach of the year in their sport.

The boys basketball team and cheerleaders did not attend the award ceremony because their seasons have not ended.

Athletic Director Jeff Cassella thanked all the student-athletes for a great season.

"I challenged you to be the best you could be on and off the field and you did that," Cassella said.
