Meanwhile, Best Gyros will open at 7413 Mentor Avenue.

It will be family oriented, non-alcohol serving sandwich shop that will be open seven days a week, according to the business's permit request.

Also, at the Planning Commission meeting, two businesses are asking for permits to operate automobile repair shops.

The first would be run by Theodore Dust Sr. at 9545 Jackson Avenue.

Dust wants to repair his own antique vehicles and house them in a building he would construct on the property.

Duncan initially said he only intended to repair and restore his personal vehicles.

However, the city found a web site had been setup to advertise the β€œbusiness” and provide information concerning vehicles and parts for sale.

If Planning Commission were to approve his permit, Dust would only be allowed to sell five vehicles a year. Any more than that and he would have to get a dealer's license.

Finally, M & F Auto would like to run an automobile repair shop at 7472 Tyler Boulevard.

The business would do small auto repairs -- for example, brakes, interior and exterior detailing and small engine repairs -- six days a week if its permit is approved.

The full agenda for this meeting is attached to the story as a PDF, as our the city's staff reports on Maracas and Best Gyros.
