RITA's Mentor Offices Remain Closed To Public

Taxpayers will need to go to Brecksville if they want in-person assistance.

MENTOR, OH — The Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) offices in Mentor remain closed as tax season approaches.

RITA's offices at the Mentor Municipal Center are shuttered for now, the city reminded residents on Wednesday. Anyone looking for in-person assistance from RITA will need to travel to the agency's Brecksville offices at 10107 Brecksville Road. The office's walk-in hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A secure drop-box is still available in the Mentor Municipal Center lobby for residents who wish to personally submit their their tax documents or returns. Residents can access the drop-box Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If a resident has questions, they can contact RITA's Customer Service Department by calling 800-860-7482 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. That same number gives callers access to RITA's 24-hour automated phone system, which allows callers to make payments, check up on a refund request, or estimate payments that have been made.
