Shift Manager Accused Of Stealing Thousands From Steak 'N Shake (Updated)
Police say Anthony Marshall stole $2,600 from the Mentor restaurant

Anthony Marshall is accused of stealing from the Steak 'N Shake restaurant in Mentor where he used to work, Mentor Police Sgt. Mike Majernik said.
As shift manager, Marshall would pay the waiters and waitresses at the end of their shift. However, he would sometimes falsify the transactions so it looked as if he was paying the servers two or three times and he would pocket the extra money, Majernik said.

From Jan. 18 to Feb. 14, he took $2,600, according to police.
Marshall, who is 26 years old and lives in Madison, was charged with theft after the restaurant's corporate office caught him, Majernik said.

Police arrested Marshall Saturday and he was arraigned Monday in . Judge John Trebets set his bond at $25,000, which was posted.
Marshall's next court appearance is scheduled for March 26.
If convicted, Marshall could face up to a year in prison.
