Tornado Watch Issued For Mentor

Tornadoes are possible in Lake County on Wednesday afternoon.

MENTOR, OH — A tornado watch has been issued for Mentor and much of Northeast Ohio on Wednesday afternoon.

A tornado watch means tornadoes could form in or around the area. Residents should be ready to act quickly if a tornado warning is later issued.

The tornado watch will remain in place until 10 p.m., the National Weather Service said.

Similar tornado watches were issued for the following counties: Ashtabula, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Geauga, Harrison, Jefferson, Lake, Mahoning, Monroe, Portage, Stark and Trumbull.
