Woman Accused Of Kicking Two Mentor Police Officers
Deanna Frey is charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer

A woman is accused of kicking a pair of Mentor police officers in the shin -- one when he tried to arrest her for disorderly conduct, another when she was taken to the .
This is what occurred, according to Mentor Police Lt. Ken Zbiegien:
Police were called to the Hooley House Saturday evening because Deanna Frey, 38, of Painesville, was drunk and creating a scene, Zbiegien said.

Frey had already taken a swing and missed at another bar patron by the time police arrived.
Frey continued to yell profanity when police arrived, despite being warned to calm down; so an officer arrested her for disorderly conduct.

Then Frey kicked the officer in the shin while he was trying to put handcuffs on her, Zbiegien said.
Officers took her to the city jail where she continued to not cooperate. When another officer tried to remove her shoes and jewelry, she kicked him in the shin also, Zbiegien said.
Frey was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer and arraigned Monday morning Mentor Municipal Court.
Judge John Trebets set her bond at $10,000, which was not posted. Her next court hearing is scheduled for April 30.
