Woman Accused Of Stealing From Bank, Passing Bad Checks

Jennifer Evans was arrested on a warrant Sunday

A Mentor woman is accused of using bad checks to steal $4,388 from Huntington Bank.

From Oct. 31 to Nov. 7 last year, Jennifer Evans is suspected of cashing a trio of bad checks and then immediately withdrawing the money from the bank before the fraudulent deposits could be discovered, Mentor Police Lt. Dan Molnar said.

Mentor Police arrested Evans, 37, on a warrant Sunday and charged her with a felony count of theft and passing bad checks.
