Shaker Heights Opening Cooling Center For Residents
The city is offering the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building as a cooling center for residents Wednesday and Thursday.
With a heat advisory in place and temperatures expected in the high 90s today and tomorrow, the City of Shaker Heights is offering the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building as a cooling center for its residents.
The cooling center is open today, July 17, until 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 18, until 8 p.m.
Water will be available. While a television will be set up, seating is limited and visitors are encouraged to bring their own reading materials. No city-provided transportation is available to the community building.
