Shaker Heights Woman Accused Of Driving Drunk & Causing Crash

According to authorities, Maryjo Prince-Paul had an open bottle of bourbon in her car when she ignored a stop sign and crashed into another car

A Shaker Heights woman is accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that sent a man, woman and their 3-year-old child to the hospital.

Maryjo Prince-Paul, 45, ran a stop sign and struck the driver's side of another occupied vehicle on April 3 near the Lander and South Woodland Road intersection, according to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.

The driver of the other car -- a 38-year-old man -- suffered a broken collar bone.

Police reported that Prince-Paul had a bottle of bourbon in her car when the crash occurred.

She has been charged with four counts of aggravated vehicular assault and one count of driving while under the influence.

She is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.
