Shaker Library on schedule for renovations, considers DEI initiat

The Shaker League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization. Members attend City, School and Library meetings and write observer reports. Here are the highlights of the meeting of the Shaker Heights Public Library meeting of August 16, 2021.

• The Main Library renovation schedule and budget are on target.
• The Main Library will be closed Nov.17- Dec.1 for renovation work. Bertram Woods will be open.
• -The DEI committee submitted a schedule of activities and reported consideration of collections development, programming, and staffing.
• -The library is pursuing additional hiring.
