Shaker Schools enrollment down, staff COVID vaccination required
Highlights of the Shaker Schools Board of Education Meeting, October 12, 2021
The Shaker League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization. Members attend City, School and Library meetings and write observer reports. Here are the highlights of the Shaker Heights Board of Education Committee meeting on October 12, 2021.
- Enrollment for FY22 is 4,508 students, down 78 from FY21. Declining birth rates across US are negatively affecting student numbers.
- District staff, volunteers must be fully COVID vaccinated by Nov 1, or submit a weekly negative test.
- Dr. Glasner continues active with legislative advocacy on potential house bills that would hinder our district’s diversity curriculum.
