SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — As winds whipped through Shaker Heights, one nasty blast pulled down an entire tree on Park Avenue. The massive trunk landed flush on the roof of a car, barely missing the driver.

The tree came down Sunday. The National Weather Service issued a high-wind advisory that day, warning that winds could eclipse 50 mph at points. The gusts brought down tree branches around Northeast Ohio and led to widespread power outages.

When a driver on Park Avenue then called 911 and told police that a "tree fell on a car" officers thought they knew what to expect. When police arrived, they were shocked to discover the "whole tree" fell on the car, Shaker Heights Police said in a statement on social media.
