• Steubenville Council set for interviews (weirtondailytimes.com) — Steubenville City Council is beginning interviews this week with five candidates to replace retiring City Manager Jim Mavromatis, aiming for a smooth transition before his March departure. Council also approved using drone and 3-D laser scanning, at added cost, to thoroughly assess structural problems at the aging wastewater treatment plant building, data that will guide future safety and repair decisions.
   

• Blue Envelope program packets will be available starting today (timesleaderonline.com) — Starting today, Steubenville-area families can request free Blue Envelope program packets to help people with disabilities communicate more easily during encounters with police and other safety forces. The Jefferson County Board of Developmental Disabilities and partners are rolling out envelopes, decals, lanyards, and wristbands so officers can quickly recognize participants, easing anxiety and improving safety during traffic stops and emergencies across Ohio.
   

• Not Your Average Neighbor: Local man brings children's artwork to life across the city (wtrf.com) — A Steubenville school custodian and Nelson’s Fine Arts employee is turning local students’ artwork into billboards outside every elementary school and displays in the Nutcracker Village, so kids see their creativity celebrated across town. His volunteer efforts, from framing art to organizing first-responder themed pieces, are all about showing Steubenville children they’re noticed, valued, and loved.
