5 Things About Stowβs Senior Snowplow Program
Stow City Council voted to renew the program Thursday

Like last year, Stow City Council has agreed to set aside $10,000 to provide assistance to senior citizens who canβt shovel their driveways.
The city will spend the money clearing the driveways and front walkways of houses where a qualified senior lives.

- All residents of a house must be 65 or older or completely disabled and unable to shovel snow.
- Seniors must live the entire winter season in the house they are applying forβno snowbirds will be approved for the program.
- Apartment and condominium residences are not eligible.
- Driveways to be cleared must be concrete or asphalt, as the city will not clear gravel, stone or other similar surfaced driveways.
