• Former northeast Ohio Senate candidate pleads guilty to $4.5M wire fraud scheme (mahoningmatters.com) — A Stow resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to a multimillion-dollar wire fraud scheme tied to his work as a CFO, a police fraternal group, and a state senate campaign. Investigators say the alleged embezzled funds paid for luxury travel, property, and personal expenses. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled, but he faces up to 20 years in prison.
