Eagle Scout Project, Soccer Camp and Income Tax: 5 Things this Week

Here are five items to take note of for this week.

  1. Income Tax Hike: Stow’s Public Safety Commission will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. in the mayor’s conference room. Among the items on their agenda for discussion is the proposed income tax hike of 0.25 percent headed to the November ballot to pay for more police officers.
  2. Soccer Camp: Oregon Trails Park will host the Kent State Soccer Camp today starting at 9 a.m.
  3. Twins Day: The annual Twins Day festival in neighboring Twinsburg is set for Saturday.
  4. Popcorn and a Movie: The Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library will hold its regular Popcorn and a Movie Wednesday at 1 p.m. The free showing is open to all.
  5. Rummage and Bake Sale: A rummage and bake sale at Lakeview Intermediate School will be held Saturday to benefit an Eagle Scout project to build bookshelves for the school.
