Summer Holiday Concert Features Patriotic Music June 29

The Stow Orchestra will recognize Independence Day with an Armed Forces Salute.

Directed by Darrell Lee Music, the Stow Symphony OrchestraΒ willΒ present the annual Pride Week concert at the Stow-Munroe Falls High SchoolΒ auditoriumΒ at 7:30 p.m. on June 29.Β 

Featured selections include:

  • β€œAn Outdoor Overture” by Aaron Copland
  • Highlights from the Musical 'Wicked'
  • Video Games Live, featuring the music from 'Halo', 'Civilization IV', β€˜Advent Rising’ and 'Kingdom Hearts'
  • Johann Strauss Sr.'s β€œRadetzky March”
  • Johann Strauss Jr.’s β€œEmperor Waltzes”
And recognizing the Independence Day holiday, the orchestra will offer anΒ β€œArmed Forces Salute," Tchaikovsky’s β€œ1812 Overture,” and β€œThe Stars andΒ Stripes Forever."

The audience is invited to wave the flag as appropriate and to join the orchestra for refreshments following the concert.

Tickets for the concert are available at the door for $10 for adults and $7 for seniors.Β Children under twelve are admitted free.Β
