• Strongsville to lease Pearl Road dispatch center to Chagrin Valley Dispatch for 1 year (cleveland.com) — Strongsville has approved a one-year, $1 lease letting Chagrin Valley Dispatch run the Pearl Road emergency dispatch center starting Feb. 2 while a new regional hub is built in Valley View. The move finalizes Strongsville’s merger into the multi-city dispatch system, avoids layoffs for local dispatchers, and is projected to save the city about $600,000 a year compared with operating its own center.
