• Canfield, Fitch, Girard boys, Poland girls pick up wins at United Way Holiday Classic (vindy.com) — Struthers girls basketball fell 65-35 to Poland in the United Way Holiday Classic, despite a 14-point effort from Wildcat scorer Natalie Wolikow. The event also featured strong wins by Canfield, Austintown Fitch, and Girard boys teams, highlighting how several nearby programs are shaping up early in the season.
   

• Peace Light now available in Mahoning Valley (vindy.com) — Struthers residents can now pick up the 2025 Peace Light at St. Nicholas Church on Fifth Street during regular business hours, bringing the flame home for Advent and Christmas. The long-running Scouting America and Youngstown Diocese tradition continues locally despite conflict abroad limiting its usual journey from Jerusalem, with candles available for purchase if you don’t bring your own.
