Hyland To Host Hybrid Hackathon For Students

WESTLAKE, OH — The Hybrid Hyland Hackathon will bring high school and college students together to do create positive projects and do "coding for good."

This year's event runs April 2-3 and will be hosted at the company's Westlake headquarters and virtually. Students from around the nation are invited to participate in the Hackathon, regardless of their experience level. The them for the 2022 event is "Coding for Good" and gives participants a chance to use their skills to help others.

Hacking teams will be limited to five people. Students should come to the event with an idea of what they want to work on, although work can't start until April 2. Mentors from Hyland's staff will be present to help solve technical questions and mentor students. Teams will have full ownership of whatever they create during the hackathon, Hyland said in a statement.

"Part of Hyland's mission is to build and inspire careers in technology, and this event is a fantastic way for us to connect with students who have shown interest in or are pursuing careers in tech," said Bill Priemer, CEO of Hyland. "We're excited to welcome students back to our campus and see their creativity and skills in action."
