• Westlake police say cryptocurrency scam cost woman over $5,000 (cleveland.com) — Westlake police recently intervened as a 71-year-old woman was tricked into feeding thousands of dollars into a cryptocurrency ATM at Center Ridge and Dover Center roads. Scammers posing as tech support and bank fraud staff convinced her to withdraw cash over a fake porn-related threat. Detectives are now working to recover the roughly $5,500 already deposited.
